Shiatsu & Cupping for Muscular tension (90 min)

This 90 minute session includes includes a full shiatsu bodywork treatment with cupping and/or guasha as needed for muscular tension or post-injury or post-surgery recovery. Pre- and post-treatment consultation (intake) also included in treatment time.

Zen Shiatsu Bodywork (Shiatsu) is a traditional Japanese form of clinical massage that provides relief from chronic or acute tension, pain, and stress, enhances relaxation, and promotes stress reduction. Cupping is a highly effective treatment modality for certain kinds of musculoskeletal tension. Cupping is especially beneficial for relief from chronic pain and tension resulting from previous injury to tissue and long-term recovery from surgery. Guasha is modality that is highly effective at reducing muscular tension and increasing local circulation. This modality can be especially helpful for breaking up muscular adhesions scar tissue.

This therapeutic techniques clears the lymph nodes and assists the body with moving the excess fluid up and towards the cleared lymph nodes. This modality helps with: cancer patients, chronic inflammation, post-surgery, swelling or edema, spleen qi deficiency, heavy limbs, lymphedema, lipedema, post-injury, headaches, CVI (Chronic vein insufficiency), Lyme’s disease, fibromyalgia and CFS, detoxification, TMJD, pregnancy, overactive nervous system.
